Mark Haskett is an author, artist, musician and public speaker. He is also executive director for InnerFaith Resources, a non-profit corporation which promotes the role a vibrant, inclusive spirituality can play in renewing both individuals and communities. A university graduate with a degree in philosophy, Mark was accepted into divinity school before realizing that ordination in one single religious tradition would be far too restrictive. He has since learned to speak many “religious languages” while honoring the deeper meanings and truths shared by them all. Going Boldly is an expression of this view, taken into a future where spirituality is understood as an inherent component of consciousness everywhere, and the term “universal truth” is even more applicable.

IF Books is the publishing arm of InnerFaith Resources, with a small but growing list of publications which focus on the inner life and the personal journeys that have brought people to where they are. While IF Books is a for-profit business which both publishes its own books and designs books for other clients, InnerFaith Resources operates as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to spiritual development and inter-religious understanding. The group has hosted Spiritual Issues Forums featuring a wide spectrum of panelists, discussing topics which have ranged from “Spiritual Solutions to Violence” to “Science versus Religion.”

Its popular “Songs & Stories” celebrations, sharing music and stories of faith from different traditions, soon gave birth to an annual “Inter-Religious Community Thanksgiving” which has drawn participants from every faith tradition for over a decade.

The group has also been instrumental in organizing forums on “Faith & Healing,” and more recently developed a workshop based on Going Boldly on Your Inner Voyage to help facilitate prison inmates’ efforts to chart a new course in their lives.
